And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. <\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n<p> <strong> 9<\/strong>. <em> the sons of Cush<\/em> ] According to some authorities Seba and Havilah are to be sought in Africa on the W. coast of the Red and the Gulf of Aden, while Sabta, Raamah, and Sabtecha (R.V. <strong> Sabteca<\/strong>) are to be sought in Arabia. According to another view (Sayce, <em> Higher Criticism<\/em>, p. 133) all five tribes belonged to Arabia.<\/p>\n<p><em> Seba<\/em> ] In <span class='bible'>Isa 43:3<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Isa 45:14<\/span> Seba (the Sabeans) is mentioned along with Egypt and Cush, and in <span class='bible'>Psa 72:10<\/span> along with Sheba. The first two passages suggest Africa, the third Arabia as Seba&rsquo;s home.<\/p>\n<p><em> Sheba and Dedan<\/em> ] The same two names occur together in <span class='bible'>1Ch 1:32<\/span> as descendants of Shem through Jokshan.
