Before the name of a thing <em>Tldth<\/em> signifies <em>origin, beginnings<\/em> (<span class='bible'>Gen. 2:4<\/span>). The Hebrew expression <em>sfer tldth<\/em> answers to the   of <span class='bible'>Mat. 1:1<\/span>. The twelve sons or tribes of Ishmael (<span class='bible'>1Ch. 1:29-31<\/span>) are given first, in an extract from <span class='bible'>Gen. 25:13-16<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nebaioth.<\/strong>The Nabateans of Arabia Petra, and Kedar, the Cedrei of classical writers, are named together, <span class='bible'>Isa. 60:7<\/span>. (Assyrian <em>Nabata<\/em> and <em>Kidra<\/em> reduced by Assurbanipal.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adbeel.<\/strong>Both here and in Genesis the LXX. read Nabdeel.
