Or Shomer, the brother of Japhlet, <span class='bible'>1Ch 7:32<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ahi, and Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram<\/strong>; of whom nothing is known but their names.<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: John Gill&#8217;s Exposition of the Entire Bible<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<p>(34) <strong>Shamer<\/strong> (pausai form of Shemer) probably identical with Shomer, the second son of Heber (<span class='bible'>1Ch. 7:32<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jehubbah.<\/strong>Heb. margin has <em>we-Hubbah<\/em>, and Hubbah, which is correct according to the prevailing form of this list (<em>and<\/em> before each name).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aram<\/strong> is the ordinary name of the Syrians east and west of the Euphrates. It may here designate a clan of half -Aramean extraction.<\/p>\n<p>(3539)<strong> And the sons of his brother Helem.<\/strong>Apparently the offshoots of Helem, brother of Sheraer-Shomer. If we construe <em>brother<\/em> in the strict sense, we must assume that Helem is the same as Hotham (<span class='bible'>1Ch. 7:32<\/span>), and that one or the other name is corrupt. But Helem may be the name of another chief house of Asher not directly connected with that of Heber.
