In 2Sa 5:16 called Eliada, which was a later name, perhaps changed from Beeliada because of the name “Baal”, or lord, which, at first innocent, came to be associated with idolatry. See note on 1Ch 8:34. <\/p>\n Beeliada: Probably Beeliada is a mistake for Eliada, as the LXX, Syriac, and Arabic read here. 2Sa 5:16, Eliada <\/p>\n and Eliphalet: 1Ch 3:8, Eliphelet, This variation merely arises from the change of a vowel.
