The Tables and Basons<\/p>\n<p><strong> 8<\/strong>. <em> ten tables<\/em> ] In <span class='bible'>2Ch 4:19<\/span> &ldquo;the tables ( <em> plural<\/em>) whereon the shewbread was set&rdquo; are mentioned (cp. <span class='bible'>1Ch 28:16<\/span>), but the parallel place (<span class='bible'>1Ki 7:48<\/span>) has &ldquo;the table&rdquo; ( <em> sing<\/em>.), and elsewhere both in Chronicles and in the rest of the O.T. one table only is assigned to the shewbread (<span class='bible'>2Ch 13:11<\/span>; <span class='bible'>2Ch 29:18<\/span>).
