Perhaps the meaning there is to heaven, as in <span class='bible'>2Ch. 6:30<\/span>. The chronicler has substituted a more ordinary expression, which, indeed, is found in all the versions of Kings. Similarly in <span class='bible'>2Ch. 6:25<\/span>; <span class='bible'>2Ch. 6:30<\/span>; <span class='bible'>2Ch. 6:33<\/span>; <span class='bible'>2Ch. 6:35<\/span>; <span class='bible'>2Ch. 6:39<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By requiting the wicked.<\/strong><em>So as to requite a wicked man.<\/em> Kings, so as to find guilty<em><\/em> (also the Syriac here). The latter is probably original.
