Ahab had a house there (<span class='bible'>1Ki 21:1<\/span>), probably a <em> country<\/em> house judging from the incident of Naboth&rsquo;s vineyard. It is the modern <em> Zer&lsquo;in<\/em>, a town situated on a hill commanding a wide view towards the west and the east. <em> Bdeker<\/em>, pp. 242, 243.<\/p>\n<p><em> because of the wounds<\/em> ] R.V. The word rendered wounds (<em>makhim<\/em>) only occurs besides in <span class='bible'>2Ki. 8:29<\/span>; <span class='bible'>2Ki. 9:15<\/span>. (<em>Ki, <\/em>because, has originated out of <em>min, <\/em>from.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Azariah.<\/strong>A mistake for Ahaziah. So Kings, LXX., Vulg., Syriac, Arabic, and some Hebrew MSS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Went down.<\/strong>Whether from Ramah or Jerusalem is not clear.
