Their seat, Gur-Baal, only mentioned here, is unknown. The Targum makes it <em>Gerar;<\/em> the LXX. apparently <em>Petra<\/em> (in Edom). The reading Gedor-Baal has been proposed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Mehunims<\/strong> (<em>Heb., Menm<\/em>)<em> are<\/em> the Maonites, or people of Maon (<em>Man<\/em>)<em>,<\/em> near Mount Seir.
