Ajalon and Shocho were among the cities fortified by Rehoboam <span class='bible'>2Ch 11:7<\/span>, <span class='bible'>2Ch 11:10<\/span>; Beth-shemesh <span class='bible'>Jos 15:10<\/span> was famous as the scene of Amaziahs defeat <span class='bible'>2Ch 25:21<\/span>.
