In John’s Revelation, he also spoke with various characters present in his visions as well. And the characters in both men’s visions helped to explain what it was they were seeing. The identity of this heavenly being is not given here, but we get a clue from Daniel’s vision of the seventy weeks prophecy of who this may have been he spoke with.

Before receiving the vision of the seventy weeks prophecy, Daniel had been in prayer to God concerning the sins of Israel. During that prayer, Daniel received a heavenly visitor who was sent to give him the prophecy of the seventy weeks. Daniel made this statement in his narration of the events, “”even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning”. This was the first vision recorded for us by Daniel so it is possible that this unnamed being to which Daniel said he spoke may have been Gabriel.

Fuente: Old and New Testaments Restoration Commentary

one: Dan 7:10, Dan 8:13-16, Dan 10:5, Dan 10:6, Dan 10:11, Dan 10:12, Dan 12:5, Dan 12:6, Zec 1:8-11, Zec 2:3, Zec 3:7, Rev 5:5, Rev 7:13, Rev 7:14

Reciprocal: Dan 8:15 – sought Zec 1:9 – what Zec 4:4 – What

Fuente: The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

Dan 7:16, This verse tells ns to whom Daniel told his dream; it was to one of them that stood by. This was evidently some person sent by the Loid to explain to Daniel the interpretation of his dream. It is true that God could have inspired the prophet with the interpretation also even as he did in other instances, but He has not always done his work after the same maimer (Heb 1:1). After the one that stood by had given to Daniel the interpretation of the dream he disappeared from the scene and the rest of the chapter will be the direct words of Daniel, repeated, of course, after the interpretation as he received it. We may be sure that the Lord will give the prophet whatever help is necessary to assure a correct report of that given him.

Fuente: Combined Bible Commentary

7:16 I came near unto {e} one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this.
