The name Sadoc is a Gk. form of Zadok which means &#8220;a just one.&#8221; Of this Zadok nothing further is known though the name was worn by the priest who anointed Solomon, <span class='bible'>2Sa 8:15<\/span>; <span class='bible'>1Ki 1:39<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>2) <strong>&#8220;And Sadoc begat Achim;&#8221; <\/strong>(Sadok de egennesen ton Achim) &#8220;Thereafter Sadoc begat Achim,&#8221; <strong>thirty-fifth <\/strong>generation from Abraham in the Faith-line and in the Davidic kingly lineage. Achim is a short form of the name Jachim and means &#8220;whom God blessed,&#8221; and was the name of one of the pillars of the temple, <span class='bible'>1Ki 7:21<\/span>. Of this man Jachim, however, nothing is further known.<\/p>\n<p>3) <strong>&#8220;And Achim beget Eliud;&#8221; <\/strong>(Achim de egenessen ton Elioud) &#8220;Then Achim begat Eleazar&#8221;, <strong>thirty-sixth <\/strong>generation from the Abrahamic covenant Faith-line and the Davidic kingly lineage of covenant promise. The name Eliud means &#8220;God of Judah&#8221;.
