In this spirit Paul later wrote, &#8220;Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ,&#8221; <span class='bible'>1Co 11:1<\/span>. The attitude of Paul, &#8220;Lord what wilt thou have me to do?&#8221; should be the daily attitude of every follower of Jesus Christ, even today, <span class='bible'>Act 9:6<\/span>. Every pastor must forsake self and sin to follow Jesus, though not necessarily abandon his business life to follow Jesus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECEDE AND FOLLOW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is observed of Caesar, that he never said to his soldiers &#8220;ite,&#8221; go on, but &#8220;venite,&#8221; come on, or follow me. So our great Exemplar, while He commands us to do duty, has shown us the way. &#8220;Follow me,&#8221; is the Divine injunction,<\/p>\n<p><strong>RULES FOR FISHING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I watched an old man trout fishing the other day, pulling them out one after another briskly. &#8221;You manage it cleverly, old friend,&#8221; I said; &#8220;I have passed a good many below who don&#8217;t seem to be doing anything.&#8221; The old man lifted himself up, and stuck his rod in the ground. &#8221;Well, you see, sit, there be three rules for trout fishing, and &#8217;tis no good trying if you don&#8217;t mind them. The first is, keep yourself out of sight; and the second, keep yourself further out of sight, and the third is, keep yourself further still out of sight. Then you&#8217;ll do it &#8230; ..
