Never was there a person possessed by an unclean spirit who did not suffer a <I>convulsion<\/I>, perhaps a total <I>ruin<\/I> of nature by it.  Sins of <I>uncleanness<\/I>, as the apostle intimates, are <I>against the body<\/I>; they sap the foundation of life, so that there are very few of this class, whether male or female, that live out half their days: they generally die <I>martyrs<\/I> to their lusts. Medical writers use the word for the rotating of the stomach. <span class='bible'>Lu 4:35<\/span> adds &#8220;when the demon had thrown him down in the midst.&#8221; Mark mentions the &#8220;loud voice&#8221; (<span class='_800000'><SPAN LANG=\"el-GR\"> <\/SPAN><\/span>), a screech, in fact.
