They were now upon the road thither.<\/p>\n And the son of man<\/strong>; meaning himself,<\/p>\n shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the Scribes<\/strong>; by the determinate counsel, and foreknowledge of God, and by the means of a treacherous disciple of his, Judas. He knew the depth of the religious leaders’ antagonism, and He understood the Old Testament prophecies of Messiah’s career (cf.
