In the synagogue at Alexandria there were seventy-one golden chairs, according to the number of the members of the Great Sanhedrim.<\/p>\n<p><em> the uppermost rooms<\/em> ] Rather, <strong> the chief seats<\/strong>, &ldquo;e first sitting places in soperis,&rdquo; Wyclif.
