This was the value of a slave (<span class='bible'>Exo. 21:32<\/span>), and is the price at which Christ was sold (<span class='bible'>Mat. 27:9<\/span>). It is supposed that under this provision Jephtha might have redeemed his daughter whom he unwittingly vowed to the Lord (<span class='bible'>Jdg. 11:30<\/span>).
