Of the two first of these no mention is made elsewhere;<\/p>\n<p><strong>and Gaba<\/strong> is the same with Gibeah, a well known place, because of the foul fact committed there, which had like to have been the ruin of this tribe, <span class='bible'>Jud 19:14<\/span>; and for being the native place of King Saul, hence called &#8220;Gibeah of Saul&#8221;, <span class='bible'>1Sa 11:4<\/span>; it was about six or seven miles from Jerusalem, <span class='bible'>[See comments on Ho 5:8]<\/span>; twelve cities with their villages; which agrees with the account of them.<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: John Gill&#8217;s Exposition of the Entire Bible<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<p> <strong> 24. <\/strong> <strong> Ophni <\/strong> is doubtless the Gophna of Josephus, (Wars, <span class='bible'>Jos 3:3<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Jos 3:5<\/span>,) and is represented in the modern Jifna, three miles northwest of Beth-el. [ <strong> Gaba<\/strong>, better spelled <em> Geba, <\/em> is not to be confounded with Gibeah of <span class='bible'>Jos 18:28<\/span>, (as the English version and some interpreters do at <span class='bible'>1Sa 13:16<\/span>, where see note.) It still exists under the scarcely altered name <em> Jeba, <\/em> on the top of a steep hill between the Wadies Suweinit and Farah, about six miles southeast by south from Beth-el. This height was held by a Philistine garrison in the time of Saul, (<span class='bible'>1Sa 13:3<\/span>,) but was taken from them by the daring feat of Jonathan.
