A comparison of the text of <span class='bible'>1Ch 11:34<\/span> makes it tolerably certain that we should read either <em> Jonathan the son of Agee the Hararite<\/em>, or <em> Jonathan the son of Shammah the Hararite<\/em>, making Jonathan either brother or son of the hero mentioned in <span class='bible'><em> 2Sa 23:11<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><em> Sharar<\/em> ] In Chron. <em> Sacar<\/em>, a name found also in <span class='bible'>1Ch 26:4<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: The Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Shammah the Hararite<\/strong>,&#8230;. From the mountainous country, as the Targum; the Arabic and Syriac versions say, from the mount of Olives:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite<\/strong>: from the high mountain, as the Targum; in <span class='bible'>1Ch 11:35<\/span>, he is called the son of Sacar.<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: John Gill&#8217;s Exposition of the Entire Bible<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<p>(33) <strong>Shammah the Hararite.<\/strong>Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite has already been mentioned in <span class='bible'>2Sa. 23:11<\/span>, and here Chronicles reads Jonathan the son of Shage the Hararite. As <em>Shage <\/em>is identical with <em>Agee <\/em>with a letter prefixed, we should probably read Jonathan the son of Shammah the Hararite.
