He overthrew the Ammonites; and obliged them to give him one hundred<\/I> talents of silver, ten thousand<\/I> measures of wheat, and ten thousand<\/I> of barley, for three<\/I> consecutive years. He was twenty-five<\/I> years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen<\/I> years. These are the particulars which we learn from the place in Chronicles quoted above; few of which are mentioned in this place.
