Durante la noche del 16 de enero, \u00e9l, junto con sus di\u00e1conos Augurio y Eulogio, fue llevado a prisi\u00f3n, y el 21 de enero fue juzgado por el juez Emiliano.  Confes\u00f3 ser cristiano y obispo, por lo que los tres fueron sentenciados a ser quemados vivos.  Sufrieron el castigo con fortaleza, y orando, con las manos extendidas, entregaron el esp\u00edritu, en cuya posici\u00f3n aparecen pintados.
