El verbo se halla unas 80 veces en el texto b\u00edblico. ‘azar se encuentra por primera vez en el Antiguo Testamento en la bendici\u00f3n de Jacob a Jos\u00e9 sobre su lecho de muerte: \u00abEl Dios de tu padre, el cual te ayudar\u00e1\u00bb (G\u00e9n 49:25).<\/p>\n
La ayuda o la asistencia proviene de varias fuentes: Treinta y dos reyes \u00abayudaron\u00bb (\u00abauxiliaron\u00bb BJ, \u00abapoyaron\u00bb NBE) a Ben-adad (1Re 20:16); una ciudad \u00abayuda\u00bb a otra (Jos 10:33); se espera \u00abayuda\u00bb aun de dioses falsos (2Cr 28:23).
