With Notre Dame and Saint Victor&#8217;s, Saint Genevieve&#8217;s was the cradle of the University of Paris. Following the reforms instituted by Charles Faure, at the instance of Cardinal de La Rochefoucauld, early in the 17th century, Saint Genevieve&#8217;s renaissance produced many distinguished sons.
