C., Dec. 25, 1810.. He received a classical education at Georgia University; a theological education at the Theological Seminary: of Columbia, S. C.; joined the Presbyterian Church, and was ordained by the Bethel Presbytery in 1834 as -an evangelist. He died at Yorkville, S. C., March 31. 1862. Possessed of fine intellectual gifts, well disciplined by education, and a heart. full of noble and generous zeal, Mr. Adams was eminently qualified for the work of the ministry. See Wilson, Presb.
