He is probably the  same as HAEDDI (q.v.); but Florence of Worcester (Chronicle, sub ann. 622) supposes him to have been the bishop of a new see established for the South Angles in A.D. 679. Perhaps AEtra. may have been a diminutive for Haeddi. See Bede, Hist. Eccles. 4:23; Ang.
