The Anglican Bishops of Mombasa and Uganda participated in a communion service with Presbyterian missionaries and otherwise compromised the traditional Anglican position. Doctor Frank Weston, Anglican Bishop of Zanzibar, an extreme &#8220;Anglo-Catholic,&#8221; protested in an open letter to the Archbishop of Canterbury, denouncing these bishops as guilty of heresy and demanding their trial.
