It was taken by the Philistines in the reign of Ahaz. 2Ch 28:18. THE VALLEY OF AJALON is the place where Joshua, when pursuing the Amorites, bade the sun and the moon stand still. Jos 10:12. The city is identified with the modern Yalo, 31 51&#8242; N, 35 1&#8242; E.<\/p>\n<p>2.  Place in Zebulun where Elon one of the judges of Israel was buried.
