Sal. GLASSII Philol. S. liii. Tract, i. Can. iii. p. m. 538, etc. For instance:-Mat 10:3,   , that is, who formerly had been a publican: Mat 9:9. Comp. the Gnom. on this passage.-Joh 9:17,   -i.e.      Joh 9:24.<\/p>\n<p>Another kind of AMPLIATIO is [one which they call more specially Prolepsis], if the designation of a thing is taken from the future event; or, if a thing is described not so much such as it now is, as such as it is about to be.
