He graduated at Yale College in 1773, and was a chaplain in the Revolutionary army. He was ordained pastor of the Church in Killingly in 1784, where he remained until his death, June 14, 1839. &#8220;He was esteemed a good scholar and a handsome writer, and did much in education, especially in training pupils for college.&#8221; He published three sermons.
