When a little more than twenty years of age, he became a Christian under the preaching of Rev. Benjamin Randall. Not long afterwards he began to preach, and continued to serve his Master through a very long term of years. He retained his mental faculties till the close of his long and useful life, and  died in Woolwich, Me., Oct. 5, 1857. See Freewill Baptist Register, 1859, p. 86. (J. C.
