July 6, 1798. He was left an orphan when about nine years of age; experienced conversion in 1818; and in 1820 received license to preach, and was admitted into the Baltimore Conference, and immediately transferred to the Virginia Conference. He died May 27, 1850. Mr. Bain&#8217;s acquirements were thorough, Biblical, arid Methodistic. His piety was deep and fervent. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M. E.
