C., Nov. 29, 1836. H e was converted in early life; received license to exhort in 1859; in 1860 was licensed to preach and admitted into  the Holston Conference, and served in its active ranks till his death, Nov. 8, 1864. Mr. Ballew was a young man of much promise. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M. E.
