Y., May 7, 1813. He received a careful religious training; was converted at the age of fourteen; soon began exhorting his fellow-citizens to embrace religion; received license to preach in 1835, and in 1836 united with the New York Conference. He died July 21, 1838. Mr. Bangs was a diligent, able, pious minister.
