Cp. ataktos, &#8220;disorderly, unruly,&#8221; and ataktos, &#8220;disorderly.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to be unseemly&#8221; (a, negative, and schema, &#8220;a form&#8221;), is used in <span class='bible'>1Co 7:36<\/span>, &#8220;behave (himself) unseemly,&#8221; i.e., so as to run the risk of bringing the virgin daughter into danger or disgrace, and in <span class='bible'>1Co 13:5<\/span>, &#8220;doth (not) behave itself unseemly.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> lit., &#8220;a turning back&#8221; (cp. No. 1, above), is translated &#8220;manner of life,&#8221; &#8220;living,&#8221; etc. in the RV, for AV, &#8220;conversation,&#8221; <span class='bible'>Gal 1:13<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Eph 4:22<\/span>; <span class='bible'>1Ti 4:12<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Heb 13:7<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Jam 3:13<\/span>; <span class='bible'>1Pe 1:15<\/span>, <span class='bible'>1Pe 1:18<\/span>; <span class='bible'>1Pe 2:1<\/span> (&#8220;behavior&#8221;); <span class='bible'>1Pe 3:1-2<\/span>, <span class='bible'>1Pe 3:16<\/span> (ditto); <span class='bible'>2Pe 2:7<\/span>; <span class='bible'>2Pe 3:11<\/span>. see CONVERSATION, LIFE. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> akin to kathistemi (see APPOINT, No. 2), denotes &#8220;a condition, or constitution of anything, or deportment,&#8221; <span class='bible'>Tit 2:3<\/span>, &#8220;demeanor,&#8221; RV, for AV, &#8220;behavior.&#8221; See DEMEANOR. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;orderly, modest,&#8221; is translated &#8220;orderly&#8221; in <span class='bible'>1Ti 3:2<\/span>, RV, for AV, &#8220;of good behavior.&#8221; Both have &#8220;modest&#8221; in <span class='bible'>1Ti 2:9<\/span>.
