In his eighteenth year he became a member of the Church; in 1813 was admitted as student at Hoxton Academy, and at the close of his course was stationed at Wrexham. Here he preached five years; then removed to  Lancaster, where he labored twenty-two years; and then went to Stockwell, near London, where he conducted an academy for young gentlemen sixteen years. He died July 22, 1861. Mr. Bell was a devoted Christian, a man of strict conscientiousness and great benevolence. See (Lond.) Cong.
