BICHRI.Sheba the son of Bichri (2Sa 20:1) should rather be Sheba the Bichrite, i.e. a descendant of Becher (Gen 46:21).<\/p>\n
bikr (, bikhr, first born; compare HPN, 88, 102): Father of Sheba who rebelled against David. Bichri is of the house of Benjamin and the word probably means a descendant of Becher (2Sa 20:1). Compare BECHER 1.<\/p>\n
