Daughter of Ottocar, King of Bohemia, she was betrothed to Frederick II, Emperor of Germany , but availed herself of her canonical rights to enter the cloister. She became a Poor Clare in the monastery  of Saint Saviour, Prague, which she had erected, and of which she became abbess .
