He entered the Jesuit order and, notwithstanding his frequent voyages and his important occupation, he published a number of works. He died at Lunel, in Languedoc, May 22, 1700. Some of his works are as followns: Pax Ludovici XIV (Toulouse, 1660):  Du Culte Religieux (ibid. 1688):  the same work translated into Latin by the author (ibid. 1691). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
