He was converted early in life, joined a Church at Clitheroe in his nineteenth year, and after earnest labor as a local preacher for some years in the neighborhood became pastor at Newton-in-Bowland in 1861. Here he died, Aug. 22, 1874. Mr. Booth was an incessant worker and a devoted pastor. See (Lond.) Cong.
