He erected the Chateau de Tasse, and Chaville; also a number of churches, villas, city gates, and triumphal arches. He was architect to the king and a member of the Royal Academy for many years, and in 1795 was elected a member of the Instituite. He died Feb. 6, 1799. See Spooner, Biog.
