See BEHOVE. <\/p>\n<p> Note: Dei, it is necessary (for which see MUST), expresses, not the obligation (as does opheilo) but the certainty or inevitableness of what is bound to happen, e.g., <span class='bible'>Joh 3:15<\/span>, &#8220;must be lifted up&#8221; (i.e., inevitably), and <span class='bible'>Act 4:12<\/span>, &#8220;wherein we must be saved&#8221; (i.e., there is a certainty of salvation). <\/p>\n<p> (b) of binding: <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> lit., &#8220;to lie around&#8221; (peri, &#8220;around,&#8221; keimai, &#8220;to lie&#8221;), &#8220;to be compassed,&#8221; is used of binding fetters around a person, <span class='bible'>Act 28:20<\/span>; in <span class='bible'>Mar 9:42<\/span>; <span class='bible'>Luk 17:2<\/span>, to hang about a person&#8217;s neck; in <span class='bible'>Heb 5:2<\/span>, to compass about, metaphorically of infirmities; in <span class='bible'>Heb 12:1<\/span>, of those who have witness borne to their faith.
