He emigrated to the United States early in life, completed his ecclesiastical studies at St. Joseph&#8217;s Seminary, Fordham, N. Y., and in 1854 was ordained priest and pastor of St. Mary&#8217;s Church. In 1863 he was installed pastor over St. Teresa&#8217;s parish, New York city, and by his zeal made it one of the best in the city. He founded a parochial school for boys in Rutgers street, and established a convent for girls, under the direction of the Ursuline nuns, in Henry street. He died July 9, 1876.
