She is thought by some to be the daughter of Feargna, a noble matron, who assisted St. Patrick on the banks of the Liffey (Evrinus, St. Patrick, 3:9), by others the sister of St. Brendan of Clonfert. If daughter of Feargna, she was probably a Palladian Christian, and lived at Glashely, near Narraghmore.
