E"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Burton, J. E<\/h2>\n<p>a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Nicholas County, Ky., in 1812. He removed to Monroe County, Ind.. in 1821; joined the Church in his thirteenth year; was licensed to preach in his eighteenth year; removed to Missouri in 1850; and in 1851 was admitted into the Missouri Conference, wherein he labored faithfully, with one year&#8217;s exception as superannuate, to the time of his death, in 1866.
