H., November, 1764. He was converted at the age of twenty-five, and soon after he began to speak in public, and, with his brother John, travelled and labored for seven years. His first effort at preaching was at Alton. His ordination&#8217; occurred at the October term of the New Durham. Quarterly Meeting, 1794. Subsequently he travelled very extensively in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, where his labors were greatly blessed.&#8217; He organized and assisted in organizing&#8217; many churches, and baptized more than one thousand persons. He was held in high esteem in Strafford, Vt., his residence of more than half :a century, where he died, in October, 1854. See Free will Baptist Register, 1856, p. 90. (J. C.
