He joined the Free Secession in 1843. His health failing, he was sent as a missionary to Gibraltar; demitted his charge, and settled in Chalmer&#8217;s Church, Melbourne, Australia, in 1853. He published Some Objections to Universal Atonement, and other Sermons:- The Second Woe (1852):-and The Origin and Obligation of the Sabbath. See Fasti Eccles.
