Bishop  Gilbert de Moray  (1235 -1245 ), who built its cathedral  at Dornoch in Sutherland, is regarded as a saint in the Scottish church; feast , 1 April . Andrew Stewart II (1518 -1542 ) was its last pre-Reformation bishop .
