{"id":32780,"date":"2022-09-28T11:26:31","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T16:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/dictionaries\/carry\/"},"modified":"2022-09-28T11:26:31","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T16:26:31","slug":"carry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.biblia.work\/dictionaries\/carry\/","title":{"rendered":"Carry"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Carry<\/h2>\n<p>kari (, nasa), , nahagh): The English Versions of the Bible rendering of a number of Hebrew and Greek words, and it has several shades of meaning, of which the following are the most important:<\/p>\n<p>(1) To take up, to bear, to transport from one place to another, as, to carry away handkerchiefs (Act 19:12), to carry a corpse (Gen 50:13), and to be carried away by the wind (Dan 2:35).<\/p>\n<p>(2) To cause to go or come, to lead, to drive as, to be carried away to Babylon (2Ki 20:17), to be carried away to Pilate (Mar 15:1), to carry away cattle (Gen 31:18), and to carry daughters (Gen 31:26).<\/p>\n<p>(3) To uphold, or sustain, and even to hoar hairs will I carry you (Isa 46:4).<\/p>\n<p>(4) To bear, or endure, as, to carry sorrows (Isa 53:4).<\/p>\n<p>(5) To overwhelm, to bear away, to destroy, as, to carry away as with a flood (Psa 90:5).<\/p>\n<p>(6) To influence, to move, as, to carry away with dissimulation (Gal 2:13), to carry away with error (2Pe 3:17), to be carried away by strange teachings (Heb 13:9).<\/p>\n<h4 align='right'><i><b>Fuente: International Standard Bible Encyclopedia<\/b><\/i><\/h4>\n<h2>Carry<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to carry together, to help in carrying&#8221; (sun, &#8220;with,&#8221; komizo, &#8220;to carry&#8221;), is used in <span class='bible'>Act 8:2<\/span>, RV, &#8220;buried,&#8221; for AV, &#8220;carried to his burial.&#8221; The verb has also the meaning of &#8220;recovering or getting back a body.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to carry out,&#8221; is found in <span class='bible'>Luk 7:12<\/span>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to bear, to bring,&#8221; is translated &#8220;carry&#8221; only in <span class='bible'>Joh 21:18<\/span>. See Note below. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> has the meaning &#8220;to carry through&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Mar 11:16<\/span>. See BETTER, DIFFER, DRIVE, EXCELLENT, MATTER, PUBLISH, VALUE. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to place among, put in another place&#8221; (meta, implying &#8220;change,&#8221; and tithemi, &#8220;to put&#8221;), has this latter meaning in <span class='bible'>Act 7:16<\/span>, &#8220;carried over.&#8221; See CHANGE, REMOVE, TRANSLATE, TURN. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to lead away&#8221; (apo, &#8220;from,&#8221; ago, &#8220;to lead&#8221;), is rendered &#8220;carried&#8221; in <span class='bible'>1Co 12:2<\/span>, AV (RV, &#8220;were led&#8221;).
