He graduated at Oberlin College in 1842, and at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1845; and was licensed by the Presbytery of New York, April 17, 1845. He was stated supply at the First Church, Madison Parish, La., from 1847 to 1850; missionary and stated supply at Thibodeaux, in 1858, and pastor from 1859 to 1863. He was infirm at Houma in 1867 and 1868; and resided thereafter at Wheeling, W.Va. He died in 1869. See Gen. Cat. of Princeton Theol.
