During the greater part of his life he labored at his trade of coach-building, but spent his leisure time in self improvement and diligent study. He was first engaged as a Sunday-school teacher, then in itinerant labors in and around Kensington, twenty-six years, on the Sabbaths. For a short time he accepted a charge at Hayes, in Middlesex, and in 1847 at Epping, Essex. He died suddenly, Nov. 23, 1853. See (Lond.) Cong.
