It is rendered &#8220;translation&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Heb 11:5<\/span>, &#8220;removing&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Heb 12:27<\/span>. See REMOVING, TRANSLATION. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to make other than it is&#8221; (from allos, &#8220;another&#8221;), &#8220;to transform, change,&#8221; is used (a) of the effect of the Gospel upon the precepts of the Law, <span class='bible'>Act 6:14<\/span>; (b) of the effect, on the body of a believer, of Christ&#8217;s return, <span class='bible'>1Co 15:51-52<\/span>; (c) of the final renewal of the material creation, <span class='bible'>Heb 1:12<\/span>; (d) of a change in the Apostle&#8217;s mode of speaking (or dealing), <span class='bible'>Gal 4:20<\/span>. In <span class='bible'>Rom 1:23<\/span> it has its other meaning, &#8220;to exchange.&#8221; <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> from meta, &#8220;implying change,&#8221; and No. 1, &#8220;to change one thing for another, or into another,&#8221; <span class='bible'>Rom 1:25-26<\/span>, is translated &#8220;exchange&#8221; in <span class='bible'>Rom 1:25<\/span>. See EXCHANGE. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;to place differently, to change,&#8221; (akin to A, above), is said of priesthood, <span class='bible'>Heb 7:12<\/span>. See CARRY, No. 5. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> meta, as in No. 2, and ballo, &#8220;to throw,&#8221; signifies &#8220;to turn quickly,&#8221; or, in the Middle Voice, &#8220;to change one&#8217;s mind,&#8221; and is found in <span class='bible'>Act 28:6<\/span>. <\/p>\n<p> Notes: (1) In <span class='bible'>Phi 3:21<\/span>, for the AV rendering of metaschematizo, &#8220;change,&#8221; the RV has &#8220;fashion anew;&#8221; in <span class='bible'>2Co 3:18<\/span> metamorphoo is rendered &#8220;change,&#8221; in the AV (RV, &#8220;transform&#8221;).
